Interos Pre-Qualifies as Supply Chain Risk Management Vendor to Federal Agencies

Interos has entered into a five-year contract with the General Services Administration, under which the Arlington, Virginia-based company becomes a pre-qualified vendor of supply chain risk management services to all Department of Defense units and civilian agencies.

The new contracting vehicle will enable federal agencies ready access to its SCRM platform with the capability to help users constantly check and proactively mitigate emerging threats on their global supplier networks more rapidly and accurately, Interos said Wednesday.

Ted Krantz, Interos CEO, described the contract award as “a tremendous growth opportunity” for the company and SCRM users in the public sector, as it opens access to the advanced technology needed “to build responsive supply chains resilient to emerging threats.”

According to Norbert Jocz, Interos’ public sector vice president, the company’s SCRM solution provides its users with an artificial intelligence-driven capability to gather real-time data on their supply chain for actionable intelligence contributing to military readiness and infrastructure protection.

Interos’ SCRM platform has been deployed with the U.S. Navy, Missile Defense Agency, Health and Human Services and NASA. Interos offers its SCRM technology to federal agencies through the GSA Schedule of government information technology solutions provider Carahsoft.

Alex Whitworth, SCRM lead at Carahsoft and a 4×24 member and speaker in a past Potomac Officers Club event, said the company’s partnership with Interos offers “a game-changing capability for protecting national security supply chains.”
