KBR Awarded $82M Air Force Contract for B-52 Support

The U.S. Air Force has awarded KBR an $82 million contract to support the B-52 System Program Office at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.

The five-year, cost-plus-fixed-fee task order entails a range of engineering and technical services focused on ensuring the continued reliability, maintainability and operational effectiveness of the B-52 bomber fleet, KBR said.

KBR’s tasks will include reliability analysis, development of testing and maintenance procedures, creation of reliability tools and cybersecurity support.

Byron Bright, president of KBR’s government solutions U.S. unit, a 4×24 member and a 2024 Wash100 awardee, highlighted the company’s dedication to serving as a key partner to the Department of Defense and extending the life of the B-52 and similar defense systems.

The contract win builds on KBR’s eight-year history of supporting the B-52 program.
