Logical Operations Launches Baseline Training Course on CMMC
Logical Operations, an instructor-led courseware provider, has launched course materials for the Department of Defense’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program.
Government contractors need to comply with CMMC to do business with the DOD and its associated agencies. Certification entails that an organization’s cybersecurity systems are resilient enough to protect vital U.S. assets from hostile actors and mismanagement.
Logical Operations said its new CMMC Kickstart course was designed to address a demand for baseline training for all levels of an organization.
“We’ve created the Kickstart training to help companies understand the scope and impact of CMMC. Within one day, students will gain an understanding of the regulations, the CMMC Model, what an Assessment entails, and where to go to get help,” said Jim Gabalski, vice president of sales and marketing at Logical Operations.
The course materials are specifically aimed at teaching organizations seeking certification on how to design and deploy compliance programs, the company added.
Logical Operations will hold a “First Look” class on Aug. 25 and Aug. 27 to address the immediate demand for training.
The event will feature Tara Lemieux, a certified CMMC provisional assessor, certified CMMC provisional instructor and a lead auditor for various international cybersecurity standards.
She has 30 years of experience helping government and commercial agencies through their cybersecurity journey, Logical Operations said.
The Pentagon began implementing the CMMC program in December 2020 to establish a stronger foundation for defense procurement. The department hopes to fully require all contractors within the defense industrial base to achieve compliance by the beginning of fiscal year 2026.
