Melissa’s GovCloud Address Suite Seen to Help Improve Agencies’ Data Quality

Address management solutions provider Melissa is highlighting the value of data tools and services in government agencies’ push to improve the data used in day-to-day operations.

In a press release on Tuesday, the company said that with its Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program status as a provider of global address verification capabilities, the GovCloud Address Suite offers agencies a solution to standardize, validate and enhance people data used in government operations.

The GovCloud Address Suite contains the company’s public sector data tools used by governments to validate and verify global addresses, including individuals who moved residence in the last 48 months, Melissa said.

Bud Walker, vice president of enterprise sales and strategy, said the company has long been offering clean, enhanced address data to the public sector through its collaboration with geographic information system software provider Esri.

The U.S. government has been looking into improving its operations using the cloud. Speaking at the Potomac Officers Club’s recent Workloads at the Tactical Edge Forum, La’Naia Jones, chief information officer at the Central Intelligence Agency, said that working with commercial providers will help the federal government embrace other emerging technologies used in remote and high-latency/low-bandwidth environments.
