FedRAMP accreditation
Modus’ Cloud-Based eDiscovery Solutions Get FedRAMP Authorization
Modus announced that its government solutions have received FedRAMP authorization. Steven Horan, the company’s chairman and CEO, praised the FedRAMP process for striking a balance between government security and entrepreneurial flexibility.
Horan said the FedRAMP authorization demonstrates that Modus has one of the most scalable and secure technology architectures in the world to deliver on access, time, relevance, cost and security. He also criticized traditional electronic discovery and information governance solutions, whose procurement has been disadvantageous to the government due to cost, scale and security issues.
The executive further said that the company’s long standing partnerships with Akami, Amazon Web Services, BUURST, Atlassian, Fortinet, DownStreem Solutions, IPRO, IS-A-TASK, Microsoft, Lunarline, Relativity, RSA, Tenable, Venio and several others, make it possible to deliver highly scalable and secure cloud solutions.
FedRAMP is a government-wide program that promotes the adoption of secure cloud services across the federal government by providing a standardized approach to security and risk assessment for cloud technologies. It was designed to grow the use of secure cloud technologies, enhance the framework by which the government secures and authorizes cloud technologies, and foster strong partnerships with FedRAMP stakeholders. The benefits from FedRAMP authorization include reductions in duplicative efforts, inconsistencies and inefficiencies, and acceleration of cloud computing and security standards, Modus said.
