NASA Taps V2X for Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory Technical Support Services

V2X announced that it has received a contract from NASA to support the technical needs of the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

Under the $265 million contract, V2X will provide technical support services until 2033, ensuring that hardware and software at the facility are at their optimal state at all times.

Serving as the training facility for the Artemis 2 mission, the NBL has been supporting the unique demands of human spaceflight. It offers astronauts a realistic training environment to practice spacewalks and recovery missions, V2X said.

Jeremy Wensinger, president and CEO of V2X, said that the new deal continues the company’s long history of collaborating with the U.S. space agency, committing to fulfilling the technical needs of the NBL as it supports upcoming space exploration missions.

The vendor has been supporting a long list of federal agencies on various missions. In April, V2X secured a contract with a maximum value of $2 billion from the U.S. Navy to provide facility support services during natural calamities and humanitarian programs.
