Navy Awards Rebellion Defense Contract for Target Recognition Capabilities Enhancement
Software developer Rebellion Defense announced that it has secured a contract to enhance the U.S. Navy’s target recognition capabilities.
Won through the Tradewinds marketplace, the contract involves the delivery of Rebellion’s Iris software to sailors, helping them improve target recognition and tracking capabilities. The Modular Open Systems approach-compliant software offers a wide range of capabilities, including real-time detection, identification and future-state prediction, Rebellion Defense said.
CEO Ben FitzGerald said the company is excited to be working with the Navy, ensuring that the service is ready to address current and future threats.
The contract marks the second time Rebellion will be working with the military branch after it received an award to deploy its Mission Engineering team to develop custom software for Project Overmatch.
Rebellion is also working with the U.S. Force as a subcontractor under Clarity Innovations, testing web applications hosted on the Cloud One platform to address vulnerabilities at an early stage.
