NORAD, US Space Force Select Jacobs to Digitalize Operations

The North American Aerospace Defense Command and the U.S. Space Force have awarded Jacobs a contract to provide digital capabilities, products and tools in support of their digital transformation. Under the contract, Jacobs’ Critical Missions Solutions teams demonstrated how the company’s data solutions enable the transition from legacy systems and showed their ability to convert operations to a DevSecOps environment.

Work also involved the replacement of a legacy data center model with a hybrid research, test and development environment that includes infrastructure, platform and software services in a virtual environment, Jacobs said. The company’s current focus is the development and implementation of a continuous integration and continuous delivery architecture to ensure the environment aligns with industry best practices.

According to Steve Arnette, Jacobs Critical Mission Solutions’ president and executive vice president, the contract would help the company perform digital transformation work in the Department of Defense in the future. With the award, Jacobs demonstrated how its solutions support major multidomain national security programs to protect the U.S. and its allies, he added.
