NREL Selects RunZero as Clean Energy Cybersecurity Accelerator Participant

RunZero will participate in the second cohort of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Clean Energy Cybersecurity Accelerator.

CECA is designed to identify disruptive solutions that can address security gaps in the electrical grid and speed up the testing and evaluation of the technologies to reduce time to market.

RunZero offers a platform comprising cyber asset attack surface management solutions for active scanning, native passive discovery and network visibility. The platform is designed to identify all assets operating within a network, NREL said.

As a CECA Cohort 2 participant, RunZero will put its offering under virtual and physical environment tests, enabling professional third-party organizations to assess the quality of asset information the platform provides.

Following technical assessments, the federal laboratory will publish a public report containing evaluation results.

NREL is expected to announce more CECA participants in the spring. According to the laboratory, the accelerator will provide participants with competitive experience and new partnership opportunities.
