NUWC Selects Rite-Solutions to Develop, Improve I&EW Systems Under $89M Contract
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport has awarded Rite-Solutions a three-year, $88.6 million contract to develop new imaging and electromagnetic warfare systems in support of the Undersea Warfare Electromagnetic Systems Department.
Rite-Solutions will work with 13 subcontractors to build, test, analyze, integrate and install the new capabilities.
The contract requirements also include providing engineering and technical services, including maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, upgrade and modernization work, to enhance the NUWC Code 34’s legacy I&EW systems, Rite-Solutions said.
According to Laura Deady, senior vice president of engineering services at Rite-Solutions, radio waves, microwaves, X-rays and gamma rays, among other elements of the electromagnetic spectrum, are essential to the U.S. Navy missions, particularly in detecting adversaries and interfering with their communications.
With the contract award, the company has secured the opportunity to support NUWC’s mission to provide warfighters with information advantage through electronic warfare dominance over adversaries, said Joe Marino, CEO at Rite-Solutions.
