Octo Metric JV to Provide IT Services to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

Octo Metric JV, a joint venture between Octo and Metric5, has won a five-year, $29 million contract to provide IT transformation services to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Office of IT.

Octo will deliver continuous learning and transformation support, training and hands-on coaching to CMS personnel. Deliverables will focus on transparency, business agility, communications and collaboration, Octo said Tuesday.

Charlie McQuillan, general manager of health at Octo, said the company has conducted training for over 3,000 CMS personnel on matters like transformation, agile methodologies and data sciences. He noted that Octo has been supporting CMS for seven years.

The award follows several other contracts Octo has secured in recent months.

In July, the company secured a four-year, $64.72 million IT infrastructure and Operations call order to provide technical and professional services to the National Cancer Institute and the Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology. In June, the company won a three-year, $8.9 million task order to build a new auction platform for the Federal Communications Commission.
