Omni Federal to Build SOCOM’s Enterprise Training Platform

The U.S. Special Operations Command has selected Omni Federal to develop an Amazon-like platform for training procurement.

The Enterprise Training Marketplace, which will be built within Digital University, must provide a simplified and automated procurement process that offers speed, convenience and flexibility.

SOCOM expects the platform to meet the training needs of Joint Special Operations Command, Theater Special Operations Commands, Special Missions Units and SOCOM service components to address their changing mission requirements, Omni Federal said.

According to the company, the initial development phase will focus on creating a streamlined user interface and ensuring users can easily explore a pool of over 100 vendors.

Omni Federal will integrate its human-centered design process and a procurement process approved by a Digital University program team into the training marketplace to ensure the acquisition stages align with the university’s requirements.

The company said the project provides an opportunity to continue expanding the Digital University to maintain the readiness of warfighters to respond to threats.
