BPA contract
ONC Taps Spire Communications and Integrity Management Consulting for Website Support
Spire Communications, an Alexandria, Virginia-based strategic communications firm, announced that its team-up with Integrity Management Consulting has secured a task order to provide website hosting and maintenance services to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT.
The team will work under an ONC blanket purchase agreement with a total value of $9.5 million over five years in a multi-award contract. Out of the four contractors that the ONC selected for the task, only the Integrity-Spire team secured the BPA, which opens the opportunity to bid on future task orders, Spire Communications said.
The BPA serves as the ONC’s tool to secure contractor support services for the agency’s flagship HealthIT .gov website and the Electronic Clinical Quality Improvement Resource Center’s ecqi.healthit .gov portal. The agreement also covers support services for the official testing tool for the ONC’s Electronic Health Record Certification program.
In a separate three-year contract awarded in May 2023, the ONC tasked the team of Spire Communications and Apprio to overhaul the HealthIT .gov website.
Ivy Eckerman, Spire’s CEO, said the new contract award reflects the high quality of the company’s current work on HealthIT .gov, expressing excitement on the opportunity to continue providing the same caliber of services.
The ONC has been tapping Spire’s services on communications strategy, content and design for its rule-making initiatives and other programs for over 15 years.
