Oshkosh Defense Secures Navy Contract for ROGUE-Fires Unmanned Ground Vehicles

The U.S. Marine Corps has awarded Oshkosh Defense a $40 million contract for additional Remotely Operated Ground Unit for Expeditionary Fires unmanned ground vehicles.

The ROGUE-Fires UGVs are designed specifically for the Marines and leverage existing joint light tactical vehicle technologies to provide off-road mobility and a significant payload capacity to accommodate various weapon systems, Oshkosh said.

The additional UGVs are expected to strengthen the Navy/Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System and support ground-based anti-ship missile operations.

Oshkosh’s ROGUE-Fires also offers operational flexibility with its teleoperated and leader-follower modes, showcasing the platform’s adaptability to diverse mission requirements.

Pat Williams, Oshkosh Defense’s chief programs officer, expressed the company’s commitment to the program and support for the Marines, highlighting ROGUE-Fires’ cutting-edge technologies and its role in equipping the service with advanced warfighting capabilities.

The Rogue-FIRES UGV will be showcased for the first time at the upcoming Modern Day Marine expo held in Washington, D.C., from April 30 to May 2.
