Parsons Secures New Task Order to Support USAF’s European Theater of Operations

Parsons has received a $28 million Battlespace Command and Control Center integration task order under the 10-year, $953 million air-base air-defense contract that the Department of Defense awarded to the company in July 2021. 

The new task order focuses on the delivery of a country-specific multi-source correlator tracker software system for the U.S. Air Force’s European operations. Besides the system’s procurement, integration, testing and personnel training, the task order also calls for integrating battlespace awareness and air defense capabilities among the United States, NATO and the USAF host country, Parsons said Thursday.

The task order, which has a one-year base and two option periods, will enhance current U.S. assistance efforts on the air and missile defense of American partner countries in the USAF’s European theater, the company added. 

Mike Kushin, Parsons’ president of Defense and Intelligence, said the company will continue working with the Air Force on innovations and flexible solutions for force protection against rapidly evolving global threats. 

In March 2023, Parsons received an $18 million task order, also under the single-award ABAD indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, to supply the Ramstein Air Base in Germany with air defense capabilities against threats like cruise missiles and unmanned aerial systems.
