Subcontract award

Parsons to Support ASRC’s Maintenance and Engineering Work at Goddard Space Flight Center

ASRC Facilities Logistics, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, has awarded Parsons a subcontract to support the repairs, operation, maintenance and engineering work at Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland and Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island in Virginia.

NASA had selected ASRC Facilities Logistics to provide the services beginning on Aug. 1 under a potential five-year, $320 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, covering office buildings and technical infrastructures such as clean rooms, integration and test spaces, laboratories and launch facilities.

Under the subcontract, facilities construction management and engineering and technical services will be provided, Parsons said

The company will also continue performing some efforts under the five-year Facilities, Construction, Engineering and Technical Services III contract. Parsons had secured the contract in 2017. It involves the provision of engineering, infrastructure, information technology and program management services at Goddard.

Jon Moretta, president of engineered systems for Parsons, said the subcontract will allow his company to continue supporting the space agency’s space exploration, scientific discovery and aeronautics research efforts.
