Qlik Cloud Government Analytics Platform Nears FedRAMP Authorization

Qlik has announced that its cloud government analytics platform received “In Process” designation at the moderate impact level under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.

FedRAMP is a government-wide program launched in 2011 that standardizes the security assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring of cloud-based products and services to ensure all federal data is secure in cloud environments.

The “In Process” status means a solution will soon be reviewed for federal use by the Joint Authorization Board, the primary governing body for FedRAMP, or an agency.

Qlik Cloud Government’s authorization is being sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency, Qlik said Thursday.

Built on the analytics engine Qlik Sense, the software-as-a-service offering helps organizations make data-driven decisions through artificial intelligence-powered analytics. It generates self-service analytics, interactive dashboards, search and conversational analytics, custom and embedded analytics, reporting and intelligence data alerting.

“Through our Qlik Cloud Government offering, our federal agency customers now have greater access to new, innovative, and cost-effective solutions, which can ultimately arm them with the capabilities needed to reach their mission and data objectives,” Qlik Federal Vice President Andrew Churchill said in a statement.

Qlik’s targeted customer, ESP, currently uses FedRAMP-approved solutions such as the RelativityOne Government service offering, which can be used to build custom apps to tackle unique agency challenges.
