REI Systems to Provide Software QA for DOD Human Resource Arm

The Department of Defense has awarded REI Systems a $76 million contract for software quality assurance and application testing services.

REI Systems said the five-year contract will support the modernization efforts of the Defense Manpower Data Center, a division under the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel & Readiness.

“REI Systems is very excited to bring innovative automation testing capabilities to DMDC in the cloud so they can better serve those military personnel and veterans who have given so much to America,” said REI Systems Vice President Samidha Manu.

DMDC helps the Pentagon resolve human resource issues, serving as a source for identifying and authenticating personnel during their affiliation with the department.

The organization is also in charge of personnel authentication and information for DOD entitlements, benefits and medical services for service members and their families.

REI Systems said it will provide quality assurance for applications that are being modernized to function on cloud infrastructures.

The company added it will also build and integrate cloud-based automated testing pipelines into the center’s DevSecOps processes.

CEO Shyam Salona said the contract award demonstrates the company’s impact on the modernization of mission-critical government systems.

REI Systems is an information technology company that specializes in application modernization, cloud, grants management, and data analytics and visualization.

In late July, DMDC also awarded IT integrator Peraton a potential $130 million contract to support its modernization efforts.

The company was tasked with upgrading the center’s computer applications as part of the Entitlements and Benefits Application Modernization and Sustainment program.
