SAIC‘s Intelligence Community Contracts Hit $284M in Early 2024 Under Newly Merged Unit

Reston, Virginia-based Science Applications International Corp. announced that it has secured from the U.S. Intelligence Community contracts totaling $284 million in January and February 2024.

SAIC created a new business group in late 2023, combining its intelligence community and space business units to open more sectoral collaboration opportunities, particularly in the National Reconnaissance Office and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

David Ray, SAIC Space and Intelligence Business Group’s executive vice president, viewed the early 2024 contract wins as a “great foundation” to boost customer relations and provide services outside the company’s traditional advisory offerings, SAIC said Thursday.

Ray disclosed that SAIC’s national intelligence business has been expanding into more mission, IT and engineering tasks within the intel community under a multi-year strategy.

Two contracts of over $100 million comprise the bulk of the total awards SAIC won in early 2024, with tasks covering several service areas, such as data, artificial intelligence and engineering.

The most recent SAIC contract, which the company announced on Monday, is a $444 million task for the U.S. Space Force’s Digital Transformation, Acquisition, Modernization and Modification program.
