SAP NS2 Granted DISA Authorization for SAP S/4HANA Cloud

The Defense Information Systems Agency has given provisional authorization to SAP National Security Services’ SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition.

The authorization allows SAP NS2 to deploy its cloud applications within the Department of Defense’s secure cloud environment authorized at FedRAMP+Impact Level 4, which defines the security required to handle sensitive defense information related to various military operations, SAP NS2 said.

With the IL4 authorization, SAP NS2 can now support DOD agencies in their cloud adoption and operations while protecting mission-critical information. The company’s SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition is an enterprise resource planning cloud solution that packages applications, support, infrastructure and technical services into a single software-as-a-service solution.

The solution’s offering for DOD IL4 includes SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence and Data Services, which all cater to various DOD business functions, including human resources, accounting, manufacturing and supply chain operations.

Harish Luthra, SAP NS2’s CEO, a 4×24 member and a 2024 Wash100 awardee, emphasized that the transformation from separate, physical systems to their cloud software enables DOD agencies to optimize costs and align staff more effectively with their mission.
