Sentar Awarded DOD Contract to Enhance Health Care Cybersecurity
The Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic has awarded Sentar a $32 million task order to strengthen the cybersecurity of the Department of Defense’s Military Health System.
The Cybersecurity Risk Management Operations recompete task order entails securing critical information systems at DOD medical facilities in the United States and internationally, Sentar said.
Sentar will continue its decade-long support of the MHS, providing cybersecurity services for its sites with up to 60,000 server and workstation assets, as well as 430 Programs of Record Systems.
Sentar Director Nathan Swab has expressed confidence in the company’s ability to enhance the cybersecurity posture of the military’s critical health care and information systems and ensure the MHS’ secure delivery of essential services for millions of beneficiaries.
The recompete task order spans a five-year period, with a base year and four optional years that, if exercised, will bring the total contract value to $172.7 million.
In January, the woman-owned small business also secured a contract with the Defense Logistics Agency to integrate its cyberattack analysis and prediction technology into digital twin architectures.
