SGS to Deploy AI-Enabled Solutions Supporting Air Force Supply Chain

The Ohio Aerospace Institute has awarded SparkCognition Government Systems a contract to support the U.S. Air Force’s supply chain.

SGS, in partnership with Boeing, will provide artificial intelligence-enabled solutions to the Air Force designed to strengthen supply chain health and mitigate operational risks related to the National Defense Strategy. Art Sellers, interim president and general manager at SGS, said the company’s solutions generate actionable insights to help the Air Force address vulnerabilities and improve national security.

The contract was awarded through the Digital, Research, Innovation and Experimentation Consortium, SGS said Thursday.

The contract builds on a long-standing partnership between the company and the military branch.

In April 2023, the Air Force Research Laboratory awarded SGS a $4.2 million contract to continue providing its AI-enabled Digital Maintenance Advisor solution to the Air Force’s F-16 fleet. DMA will be used for aircraft maintenance, supply and logistics support, ensuring that pilots and aircraft operators are ready at any given moment.

In July 2022, SGS was tasked with integrating AI solutions under the Air Force’s $950 million Joint All-Domain Command and Control support contract.
