SkyePoint Decisions Awarded Task Order to Support ICE’s CIO

SkyePoint Decisions announced that it has been awarded a new task order by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to support the agency’s Office of the Chief Information Officer. The task order is part of a proof-of-concept initiative, runs from October 2021 through March 2022, and was awarded under the CIO-SP3 Small Business contract, SkyePoint said Wednesday.

Crucial to receiving the task order is the company’s partnership with software company TIBCO. Under the task order, SkyePoint said its personnel will work to develop and implement TIBCO’s Spotfire software to improve the Security Operations Center’s ability to monitor, defend and protect the ICE network against evolving threats.

In a statement, SkyePoint President Frank Sturek said the deal expands the company’s footprint within DHS, enabling it to leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to help protect the country and strengthen national security by delivering advanced threat detection and response.

In June, SkyePoint received an award for a five-year, multiple-award, $300 million Blanket Purchase Agreement from the U.S. Department of Education to provide cybersecurity and privacy support services to the Office of Federal Student Aid and the Office of the Chief Information Officer.

The BPA was used to provide cybersecurity risk management and compliance, information systems security services, cybersecurity operations, software capability development, security architecture support, security engineering, and continuous diagnostics and mitigation for the two offices across the DoED enterprise.

SkyePoint is touted to provide innovative enterprise-wide and targeted solutions for the complex challenges faced by federal government clients.
