Soaak Technologies to Continue Building Sound Frequency-Based Airmen Performance Enhancement Technology
Soaak Technologies has announced that it secured a $1.1 million Small Business Innovation Research Phase II contract from AFWERX to help enhance airmen’s performance.
Under the SBIR contract, Soaak will continue developing mobile and web applications using its proprietary sound frequency technology to ensure that airmen maintain peak mental and physical conditions while deployed in challenging environments. According to Soaak, its proprietary solution helps alleviate anxiety, reduce depression and boost energy.
The contract will also help advance health care technology innovation and service member operational efficacy, Soaak said.
AFWERX has been investing in technologies that improve warfighter well-being and human performance.
In January 2023, the U.S. Air Force awarded Sparta Science an SBIR Phase I AFWERX contract to develop a machine learning-based decision support tool to improve soldier rehabilitation and performance. The company was tasked to integrate its force plates with motion capture data owned by Northeastern University’s Synergetic Media Learning Lab.
In December 2022, Sparta Science received an SBIR Phase I contract from AFWERX to install artificial intelligence and ML capabilities to improve U.S. Space Force guardian’s resilience. Work under the contract was designed to give guardians access to lifestyle and performance medicine and improve their stress-coping mechanisms.
