State Department Seeking Secure Portable Data Storage Providers to Support ICAM
The Department of State is conducting market research to identify contractors that can provide secure portable storage devices, software and licenses for the agency’s identity, credential and access management program.
The devices should support multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux and Mac; offer a storage capacity of at least 64 GB; and have the capability to operate as bootable OS enterprise central management server software, according to a sources sought notice posted on SAM .gov.
The proposed solutions must meet the Level 3 encryption requirements under the Federal Information Processing Standards 140-3, include industry-standard anti-virus and anti-malware software and provide the ability to self-destruct if an encrypted drive is lost or stolen.
Other required features include a license renewal calculator and automatic license assignment capability.
The State Department intends to purchase the products through a blanket purchase agreement or other contract vehicles.
Responses to the notice are due July 16.
