Pentagon CDAO Adds TurbineOne’s Frontline Perception System to Tradewinds Marketplace

Machine learning-enabled situational awareness solutions provider TurbineOne announced that the Department of Defense has added its Frontline Perception System to Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace.

FPS is an artificial intelligence- and ML-enabled threat detector that allows users to build and deploy computer-powered recognition algorithms on the field and in operation centers. The system, which does not require coding or a cloud environment, can be used by organizations that handle large amounts of data from different sensors and need the data to be processed as quickly as possible.

The DOD’s Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office rated FPS as “Awardable” following an assessment and vetting process. It was added to Tradewinds after assessors determined that FPS met several government standards, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, TurbineOne said Tuesday.

The Tradewinds addition comes over a month after the Defense Innovation Unit awarded TurbineOne a multi-year prototyping contract for new machine learning capabilities. As part of the contract, the company unveiled Sidekick, an FPS feature that automatically generates data to build a new detection model.
