Thentia to Improve Cloud SaaS Offering Through AWS Partnership

Software company Thentia has announced that it is partnering with Amazon Web Services to improve the Thentia Cloud software-as-a-service platform.

Julian Cardarelli, CEO of Thentia, said the partnership will ensure that Thentia Cloud will be accessible through AWS, making it easier for public sector users to access the platform. The partnership will also allow AWS engineers and architects to optimize Thentia Cloud’s performance, security, compliance and reliability.

The SaaS offering, powered by AWS, is designed to improve regulatory oversight for public-sector users, streamline and consolidate essential regulatory functions within a single environment and give regulators a clear picture of licensing activities, Thentia said.

The U.S. government has seen benefits from using cloud technologies and is looking to broaden its integration.

In October, U.S. Postal Service Chief Information Officer Pritha Mehra said cloud computing helped the agency improve digital experiences for customers. According to Mehra, it adopted cloud technologies early on to meet business needs, support decision-making capabilities and improve digital offerings.

Earlier in the same month, the U.S. Navy said it wanted to secure ship-mounted cloud computing infrastructure to allow sailors to stay connected wherever they are deployed. Jane Rathbun, acting CIO of the Navy, said cloud computing could give sailors a tactical edge by reducing its digital contrails.
