Titan Alpha to Create Clinical Decision Support Training Course for VHA
The Titan Alpha joint venture has been awarded a task order to create a training course for the Veteran Health Administration’s Clinical Decision Support evaluation program.
Titan Alpha is a joint venture between federal health care service providers Prometheus Federal Services and Atlas Research.
The government awarded the task order under the VHA Integrated Healthcare Transformation contract vehicle, a multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract worth up to $1 billion.
Under the new task order, Titan Alpha will design an accredited course for clinicians and field personnel on the evaluation of CDS interventions, Atlas Research said.
According to Atlas Research, CDS is used to reduce medical errors, promote comprehensive treatment, shorten the length of stay and decrease costs in patient care.
PFS and Atlas Research said they will provide the instructional expertise VHA needs to ensure the quality and safety of CDS interventions.
Carl Fortune, a principal at PFS, said the Titan Alpha team consists of experts in converting traditional course content into multimedia online learning resources.
Renee O’Brien, director of learning and performance at Atlas Research, added that Titan Alpha has members who have previously implemented CDS and informatics training for VHA.
Titan Alpha is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business and economically disadvantaged woman-owned small business.
The joint venture is one of six organizations awarded spots on VHA’s 10-year IHT contract vehicle. The other awardees are Aptive HTG, HRS Consulting, RB Management Consultants, Sierra 7 and Trilogy Federal.
IHT covers support services in three categories: health system transformation and innovation, implementation and operations support, and health care business enabling services.
