Unanimous AI Secures AFWERX Contract to Develop AI-Powered Intelligence-Gathering Solution for Networked Teams

The U.S. Air Force is turning to artificial intelligence to enhance intelligence gathering and, in the long run, establish a collective superintelligence database.

On Thursday, Swarm AI technology developer Unanimous AI announced that it received a contract to develop a solution allowing artificial intelligence to gather real-time intelligence while networked groups of military officials are in a conversation.

The contract will see the development of the MindMeld project, a solution based on Unanimous AI’s Conversational Swarm Intelligence technology that combines the collective knowledge and insights of individuals in a conversation to improve the quality of intelligence, Unanimous AI said.

President David Baltaxe said the company’s conversational deliberation solution is part of an initiative to enable smarter decisions, insights and evaluations without replacing people with algorithms.

Unanimous AI has been developing AI technologies used by networked teams in their decision-making processes, providing accurate information without excluding humans in the process.

The contract is not the AI solutions developer’s first with the service. In October 2023, it secured an AFWERX contract for the Air Force’s goal of building high-performing military teams using Swarm AI technology.
