US, Allies Meet in Estonia for Cyber Consultation
The United States and its allies discussed the latest developments in cyber diplomacy and cooperative efforts in cybersecurity and capacity building during the ninth annual Nordic-Baltic + U.S. Cyber Consultation on Tuesday in Estonia.
Representatives from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and the U.S. also explored the applications of artificial intelligence in the cybersecurity field and other principles and action areas outlined in the U.S. International Cyberspace and Digital Policy Strategy, the U.S. Department of State said.
The strategy aims to build digital solidarity among allies to strengthen international cooperation in building digital and cyber capacity, developing a defensible and resilient digital ecosystem, responding to threats and holding cybercriminals accountable.
As part of the event, the NB8 + U.S. participants announced their continued commitment to the U.N. Framework of Responsible State Behavior in Cyberspace.
According to the State Department, the cyber consultation promotes the creation of the U.N. Cyber Programme of Action to support allies in implementing the framework.
