US Army Selects Three Companies to Prototype Business System Consolidation Platform

The U.S. Army has selected three contractors to support the integration of five business systems into a single platform called the Enterprise Business Systems-Convergence.

Under other transaction authority agreements awarded by the Army Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems and Army Contracting Command-Rock Island, the vendors will each develop an EBS-C prototype in support of the military branch’s initiative to modernize its finance and logistics systems, Army .mil reported.

The business systems moving to the platform are the Logistics Modernization Program, the General Fund Enterprise Business System, GFEBS –Sensitive Activities, Global Combat Support System-Army, and the Army Enterprise Systems Integration Program.

The vendors will develop the prototypes through May 2024 and then they will demonstrate their products for the Army to select the best solution to consolidate the systems. With the platform, the Army expects to better meet warfighter demands and enable increased ease of audit to be more transparent to taxpayers.
