Department of Agriculture Awards $70M Cybersecurity Contract to Alpha Omega, Dynamo Technologies

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Office of the Chief Information Officer and Information Security Center Program and Security Management has awarded Alpha Omega Integration and Dynamo Technologies a $70 million contract. David Flynn, vice president of strategic accounts at Alpha Omega, said the collaboration will further strengthen USDA’s security operations. The five-year contract mandates the provision of mission-critical cybersecurity operations support to USDA agencies, Alpha Omega said.

Under the terms of the contract, Alpha Omega and Dynamo will incorporate the development, implementation and management of security solutions into the USDA’s everyday business.

According to Alpha Omega, the contract requires both companies to secure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of USDA’s data and information systems.

Alpha Omega said the provision of cybersecurity support to USDA agencies also includes augmenting the department’s capabilities in the areas of privacy, security controls, information systems, security support, risk management framework, policy, metrics and program management support.
