USMC Seeks Vendor for Cyber Assessment Solution

The U.S. Marine Corps is soliciting proposals from service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses for the supply of a comprehensive automated security control assessment solution for command and control and weapon systems security. 

The sole-source set-aside contract solicitation seeks to fill the requirements of the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity for software tools increasing cyber assessment efficiency through automated attack simulations against programmed USMC records. Other tool requirements include the capability to provide insights and recommendations on enhancing cyber resiliency and integrations enabling custom script uploads, according to a USMC solitication notice on SAM .gov.

In addition, the software must support the Cyber Survivability Endorsement Implementation Guide version 3 and other related security frameworks. The proposed solution must also be able to emulate advanced persistent threat and to operate in an air-gapped environment without relying on external connections. 

The USMC will accept offers until Aug. 9. The task order’s place of performance is at Camp Pendleton, California.

In January, the Department of Defense conferred to the MCTSSA the designation of a “science and technology reinvention laboratory” enjoying certain legislated authorities, such as discretionary funding flexibility.
