USSOUTHCOM Seeks IT Services for Engagement Event Tracker
The Army Contracting Command is looking for vendors qualified to provide information technology support services to the U.S. Southern Command J8 Directorate.
The directorate is tasked with managing multilateral engagement activities with the unified combatant command’s partner nations.
J8 specifically needs a contractor to maintain the Traditional Commander Activities program database—known as the Cloud-based TCA Information Management System—used to manage and fund engagement events such as conferences, seminars and subject matter expert exchanges, according to a request for information posted on SAM .gov.
CTIMS is a program management tool that ingests real-time financial data and maintains a series of interrelated databases used by the government on a daily basis, the RFI read.
The system handles about 500 engagement events each fiscal year that are submitted by security cooperation offices, according to the performance work statement.
According to the RFI, J8 also needs the contractor to manage USSOUTHCOM’s Debit Card program. The TCA and Debit Card programs provide the data management capabilities that USSOUTHCOM needs to remain ready for audits and reports.
The contractor will be responsible for implementing the necessary IT solutions needed to ensure that both programs have a high level of accuracy for audit purposes.
Some of the other work items are database development, system management, system integration, customer service, support and training for end users and program management support for both the TCA and Debit Card program.
The government intends to award a contract with a one-year base period of performance and four one-year option periods.
