V2X Awarded Army Contract for Battlefield Technology
The U.S. Army has awarded V2X a $48.5 million contract to supply its Gateway Mission Router.
The four-year contract will see the production of the modern warfare technology that will support the Department of Defense’s Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control initiative, V2X said.
Designed to enhance battlefield communications, the GMR integrates information from multiple sources into a unified operational environment.
According to the aerospace and defense company, the rugged and cybersecure platform offers real-time situational awareness and is compatible with aviation and ground vehicles.
Jeremy Wensinger, V2X CEO and president, highlighted the contract as a milestone in the company’s partnership with the Army and expressed its commitment to innovation in support of the military’s defense objectives.
The Army contract award comes just days after V2X secured a $141 million contract from the U.S. Navy to support the naval fleet’s command, control, communications, computer and intelligence systems.
In May, the Army also awarded V2X a bridge contract, extending the company’s technical services in aid of the National Training Center’s training operations.
