Sierra7 Awarded VA Contract to Expand Advanced Digital Modernization

Management consulting and information technology solutions provider Sierra7 secured a Light Electronic Action Framework contract from the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology Operations and Services to help advance digital modernization in the federal agency.

The LEAF program is designed to allow non-technical users to digitize business processes, allowing them to generate custom reports and comply with the department’s security and privacy requirements, Sierra7 said.

According to Sierra7 Chief Growth Officer Gina Gallagher, the partnership with VA ensures the success of the LEAF 2.0 initiative by providing innovative solutions, operational efficiency and improved user experience.

VA has been rolling out different modernization initiatives in the past year. In July, it sought feedback on its identity, credential and access management initiative to improve its functionality, reliability and usability.

It collaborated with Verizon in November to improve the connectivity options available to veterans living in rural areas, allowing them to access more health care services.
