Valor Healthcare Awarded Spot on $1B VA Remote Patient Monitoring Contract

The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded Valor Healthcare a spot on an eight-year, $1 billion contract for veterans support.

Under the contract, Valor will compete for task orders to provide remote patient monitoring and home telehealth systems and tools, which the VA’s Office of Connected Care will deploy to monitor veterans with chronic health conditions.

Prosthetic appliances will also be provided in support of care coordination and disease management, the company said.

Commenting on the contract award, Valor Healthcare CEO Dr. Scott Wise said his company and its team of RPM-HT technology industry leaders are committed to using their collective expertise to help veterans manage their conditions. Based on contracting documents, the tools will be used by veterans to upload medical information for self-care purposes or to alert medical personnel of their needs.

Valor Healthcare is one of four winners on the VA contract. The other awardees are Cognosante, DrKumo and Medtronic Care Management Services.
