Workday Secures FedRAMP Authorized Status for Government Cloud Platform

Cloud applications provider Workday has achieved Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program Authorized status at the moderate security impact level for Workday Government Cloud.

Workday Government Cloud is a solution that allows federal agencies to gain real-time workforce insights that can improve talent attraction and retention, make informed decisions regarding finances and resources and secure necessary tools to keep abreast with changing regulations.

The solution is delivered through Amazon Web Services, Workday said.

Securing a FedRAMP Authorized status allows cloud service providers to offer their solutions to federal agencies. With the authorization, Workday will be able to support instruments of government in their digital transformation efforts.

Wayne Bobby, vice president of the U.S. federal government sector of Workday, said the company’s applications can handle financial management, human resources, planning, spend management and analytics, and it has been used by Fortune 500 companies and thousands of organizations worldwide. He added that federal market leaders want their employees to be agile, and Workday has the opportunity to support leaders’ evolution efforts.

Workday offers enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources. It is headquartered in Pleasanton, California, and has offices within and outside the U.S.
