Peraton Names Presidio Federal as Subcontractor Under $2.68B Data Center, Cloud Optimization Contract With DHS

Peraton has selected information technology services and solutions provider Presidio Federal as a subcontractor to support data center and cloud optimization work at the Department of Homeland Security under a potential 10-year, $2.68 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

The DHS previously awarded Peraton subsidiary Perspecta Engineering the IDIQ contract to provide the agency with IT services to support the management and operation of the DHS enterprise computing resources collection called Hybrid Computing Environment, which includes a data center, colocation sites, private cloud services and DHS-furnished commercial cloud services, Presidio Federal said

As a subcontractor, Presidio Federal will provide services associated with automating, optimizing and modernizing the HCE. The IDIQ has a five-year base period that began in September 2021 and one three-year and one two-year option periods.

Specific services DHS required for the hybrid cloud computing environment include performance and capacity monitoring, data storage services, disaster recovery and the migration of fixed infrastructure and mission applications to a multicloud or colocation environment.
