QinetiQ Names Charles Fielden as Executive VP for Intelligence, Cyber and Information Advantage Unit

McLean, Virginia-based defense solutions provider QinetiQ US  has appointed Charles Fielden as executive vice president and general manager of its intelligence, cyber and information advantage department.

Shawn Purvis, company president and CEO and a 4×24 member and 2024 Wash 100 winner, cited Fielden’s more than 25 years of experience as an intelligence community executive supporting commercial and U.S. military partners, which will be “an invaluable asset” to QinetiQ customers.

Fielden will manage a team of engineers handling cyber capability studies, operational testing and developmental/functional evaluation of cyber solutions for U.S. military and intelligence organizations worldwide, QinetiQ US said Monday.

The company also noted Fielden’s experience of more than 15 years managing Northrop Grumman’s cyber and intelligence portfolio with several hundred-million-dollar contracts.

Before his QinetiQ appointment, Fielden served as president and CEO of a Northern Virginia limited liability company providing such services as operational planning and business development, according to his LinkedIn profile

Seeing QinetiQ as an established intelligence and defense industry leader, Fielden said he looks forward to further empowering and leveraging the QinetiQ team’s talent to help company partners eliminate global threats.
