Rocket Lab Appoints Retired Space Force Lieutenant to Board of Directors
Retired U.S. Space Force Lt. Gen. Nina Armagno, a speaker at a past Potomac Officers Club event, has joined Rocket Lab’s board of directors to support the company as it grows its launch and space system businesses.
Armagno brings to the board over three decades of leadership experience in the U.S. Air Force and Space Force. She served in the Space Force as staff director responsible for synchronizing and integrating policy, plans, positions, procedures and cross-functional issues for the chief of space operations, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Prior to joining the newly established military branch, Armagno was the director for space programs at the Air Force’s Office of the Assistant Secretary for Acquisition, Rocket Lab said.
She also became the director of plans and policy for the U.S. Strategic Command and the commander of the 30th and 45th Space Wings, the 21st Operations Group and the 6th Space Warning Squadron.
Armagno has been a member of the Council on Foreign Relations since February 2021.
