SAIC Announces $1.8B in Revenue for Q2 FY2022
Science Applications International Corp. has posted $1.8 billion in revenues for the second quarter of fiscal year 2022, marking a 4.1 percent year-on-year increase.
Operating income was recorded at $133 million while net bookings totaled $1.6 billion, SAIC said.
According to SAIC CEO Nazzic Keene, a Potomac Officers Club member and 2021 Wash100 winner, the company took meaningful strategic, financial and operational steps in Q2.
“We added strategic components to the portfolio through the acquisitions of Halfaker and Associates and Koverse, increasing market access in health IT and artificial intelligence,” Keene said in a statement.
Additionally, SAIC was able to win $644 million in new space and intelligence contracts. The contracts called for highly specialized expertise in digital engineering, cloud, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and technology integration. One of the awards, valued at $355 million, required SAIC to deliver digital and systems engineering solutions to intelligence and defense agencies.
The company also won new Air Force contracts, including a four-year, $90 million single-award deal to help combatant commands mitigate small unmanned aircraft systems threats.
Recompete wins also contributed to SAIC’s Q2 results.
The Defense Information Analysis Center awarded the company a five-year $126 million recompete task to enable modeling and simulation enhancements in support of the Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Ground Vehicle Systems Center.
SAIC also landed an $85 million contract from the Navy for continued software engineering, DevSecOps and cyber services for the systems used in the Navy’s Joint Expeditionary Command and Control program.
Moving forward, SAIC expects to generate up to $7.4 billion in revenue at the end of FY2022.
