SAIC Awards Cloud Service Subcontract to 1901 Group

Science Application International Corp. has awarded 1901 Group a subcontract for cloud migration services under the former's cloud computing contract with the Army. The subcontractor's cloud factory team shall migrate the Army's information technology infrastructure and enterprise application to a cloud environment. SAIC previously landed the contract under the IT Enterprise Solutions-3 contract vehicle. The 1901 Group is a cloud service provider authorized under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, Intelligence Community News reported Monday. The subcontractor specializes in supporting Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and platform-as-a-service offerings, according to Executive Vice President Paul Wilkinson. Bob Beck, 1901 Group's senior director of business development, said his team is eager to support the Army's soldiers and their families by improving IT performance and information availability.
