SAIC Selected for $450M USDA IT Support Services BPA
Science Applications International Corp. has secured a spot on the five-year, $450M Department of Agriculture Information Technology Support Services blanket purchase agreement.
With its inclusion in the DAITSS BPA contractor pool, SAIC will compete with other companies to deliver enterprise IT support services, including artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, machine learning, in support of the department’s agencies and offices. The BPA covers several work areas, including software engineering, enterprise architecture, cloud development, data analytics, geographic information systems, systems integration, mobile devices, cybersecurity and governance, SAIC said Tuesday.
The company intends to apply innovative and emerging IT components, IT services and ancillary elements to help the USDA achieve its mission to advance initiatives related to food, agriculture, natural resources, rural development and nutrition.
Bob Genter, executive vice president and general manager for the SAIC civilian markets group, expressed pride in being selected for the BPA as the USDA looks to implement enterprise-wide IT modernization. Citing the company’s working history with the USDA and other federal government customers, Genter said SAIC is well-positioned to support the department’s efforts over the next five years.
The selection for the DAITSS BPA builds on SAIC’s previous contract engagement with the USDA. The company previously helped develop the USDA IT modernization Centers of Excellence and manage the department’s robotic process automation solutions.
Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, SAIC is an information technology company with a wide range of products that cater to the defense, space, civilian and intelligence markets.
