SAP, Accenture Develop Business Visibility Tool for Oil, Gas Companies

SAP and Accenture have jointly developed an artificial intelligence-based solution for oil and gas companies based on the SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Designed to improve companies' visibility into operations and cash flow, the solution would help cut total ownership and operational costs and reduce work implementation time to minimize disruption risks, SAP said in a statement. The tool also features contributions from ConocoPhillips, Shell and other major oil and gas companies, SAP announced. Mike Pfister, the CEO of ConocoPhillips, said the collaborators spent two years developing the solution based on a flexible cloud architecture. Shell upstream CEO Scott Wahl said the tool's launch is a key milestone in proving the collaboration's effectiveness.
