USAF Awards New $90M Contract to Serco for Next-Gen IT Services

Herndon, Virginia-based professional and management services company Serco has secured a follow-on U.S. Air Force contract to manage and maintain the service branch’s IBM TRIRIGA software application, a task that Serco first won in 2019

The new contract provides a one-year base period and four one-year options for a $90 million total value, with all options exercised. The next-gen IBM solution will support data-driven decision-making for the Air Force Program Executive Office Business Enterprise Systems Maintenance and Installation Systems Division, Serco said

Air Force civil engineering activities in about 202 installations in more than 2,000 different locations worldwide will benefit from the information technology solutions that Serco will manage, configure, deploy, operate, maintain and enhance, the company added.

Tom Watson, Serco’s CEO, a 4×24 member and 2024 Wash100 winner, expressed pride in the USAF award, saying it strengthens the company’s stature as an important service provider to the Department of Defense.

Serco, which started providing TRIRIGA-based solution sustainment support in 2012, will mainly perform work at Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex, Alabama, and about 20 off-base sites in the continental United States.

The company is also working on an Air Force Contract Augmentation Program to support the AF Civil Engineering Center at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida.
