Sev1Tech Names Michael Taheri as Strategic Board Adviser

Ret. Maj. Gen. Michael Taheri has been named a strategic board adviser to Sev1Tech, an information technology service management company headquartered in Woodbridge, Virginia.

His leadership, expertise and guidance will be critical to supporting customer mission areas and growth goals, Sev1Tech said Monday.

Sev1Tech CEO Bob Lohfeld, a member of the Potomac Officers Club, said Taheri will provide the company with greater operational insights into the operations of the Air Force, Space Force, Air National Guard and the National Guard Bureau.

Taheri has more than 30 years of military experience, having served in the Air Force and the Air National Guard.

He was commissioned in 1989 after graduating from the University of Wyoming. He went on to pilot C-130s for the Air Force in North Carolina, Japan and Arkansas and later joined the North Carolina National Guard.

His Linkedin profile also shows that he had a two-year stint at the 153rd Airlift Wing, a unit of the Wyoming Air National Guard. While there, he spent a little over a year as vice wing commander before being promoted to the rank of commander.

In addition, Taheri had a nearly three-year tenure as commander of the Air National Guard Readiness Center.

His career was also highlighted by his stint as director of staff for the National Guard Bureau. Under his leadership, the bureau executed $28B worth of budgetary authority, ensuring that hundreds of thousands of Army and Air National Guardsmen received training that prepared them to perform operations across the full spectrum of military capabilities.
