Former Government, Military Leaders Join Peraton Advisory Board
Former government and military officials have joined Peraton’s advisory board, a move strengthening its strategic direction.
On Thursday, the national security company appointed several new members of the board: former Defense Intelligence Agency Director Lt. Gen. Bob Ashley; Lisa Porter, former deputy undersecretary of defense for research and engineering; former U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Commander Gen. Joe Votel; and George Barnes, former deputy director of the National Security Agency. Porter and Barnes are past POC speakers.
The new members join other former government officials, including Kevin Meiners, former deputy director of National Intelligence for Enterprise Capability, Peraton said.
Chairperson Stu Shea, a past Wash100 awardee, said the new advisory board members, each with a unique understanding of national security after serving the country, support the company’s mission of protecting and promoting freedom anywhere in the world.
Peraton has been working with several government agencies on various projects. In July 2023, the company collaborated with NASA to provide suborbital flight operations support for the Wallops Flight Facility.
It also secured a contract with the U.S. Army to provide cyberspace operations support for Army Cyber, the U.S. Cyber Command and its mission partners.
