New Sigma Defense DevSecOps Platform Debuts With Navy, USMC Accreditation

Perry, Georgia-based Sigma Defense Systems has launched its Sigma Software Studio, a DevSecOps platform geared to transform and modernize software solutions across the Department of the Navy.

The company disclosed that it collaborated with Black Pearl and the Department of the Navy’s Program Executive Office for Digital and Enterprise Services in developing its new offering.

According to Matt Jones, Sigma Defense CEO and a 4×24 member, the platform has already received Authority to Operate accreditation from the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps, Sigma Defense said Monday.

The company added that Sigma Software Studio advances DevSecOps capabilities, with its flexibility enabling integration of developers’ tools for pipeline support and the capability to support new tools that become available.

In addition, the DevSecOps-as-a-Service solution cuts or eliminates upfront hardware and software spending and speeds up operability from months to days to enable organizations to focus on mission software development, the company said.

It further noted that  Sigma Software Studio is the only commercial DevSecOps platform with IL2/IL4/IL5 security level accreditations, plus a forthcoming  IL6 accreditation.
