Responsible for IT Infrastructure and Cloud Services at Lockheed Martin Space, Andrew Swearingen leads a team of dedicated professionals who provide the technical foundation for exciting and critical missions here on Earth – and beyond. With 20 years of experience in Information Technology spanning end user services, mobility, data center operations, and product management, Andrew leads Space’s hybrid multi-cloud strategy and has been instrumental in Lockheed Martin IT’s transformation into an agile, product-focused organization leveraging DevSecOps principles and methodologies.
Prior to his current role, Andrew was responsible for global Product Management for Lockheed Martin’s corporate hosting organization, where he helped drive down cost, increase portfolio capability, improve user experience, and boost customer satisfaction. Over the course of his 17 years at Lockheed Martin, Andrew has held several roles and leadership positions after starting his career as a software developer and designer. Before joining Lockheed Martin in 2004 Andrew worked at a small technology company in the marketing industry, designing databases and building landing page systems for clients that included large banks and tech companies.
Andrew is a graduate of Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business, with a Bachelors of Science in Operations & Management Information Systems (OMIS) and a Masters of Science in Management Information Systems (MSIS). Andrew enjoys living in San Jose, California with his wife and three daughters and frequently returns to Honolulu, Hawaii, where he was born and raised.
